The Role:

Assure the production of construction Schedule 33 Part 5 consents, exemptions and variations.

Proactively interact with each Consent Granting Body (CGB) to enable the consenting process.

Advise in-house environmental consent requirements, the associated timeframes and compliance with them.

* Advise on identification and consolidation of the necessary Environmental Consents (water) that may be required recognising that requirements may change during the duration of the project.

* The role holder will ensure the presentation and content of the supporting information and documentation prepared for all Temporary and Permanent works consent applications are of sufficient quality to be submitted to the appropriate Consent Granting Bodies (CGB).

* Working closely with the Core Consent team, the role holder will review and comment on the technical documentation provided, through Pre-Application, draft and formal submission.

* Extensive interaction, externally with the various Consent Granting Bodies (LA's, Environment Agency, CRT and other CGB's) and internally with the BBV technical, construction and design teams will be required, to ensure that all necessary consents are in place for the consentable works.

* Provide feedback as required to delivery teams regarding environmental obligations as relevant to the

consenting process

The following qualities/experience are essential:

* Experience of obtaining Environmental Consents

* Experience of effective communication with the relevant CGB

* Knowledge of environmental contamination, hydrogeological, hydrology and flood risk considerations

* Awareness and understanding of current Environmental legislation

* Experience in managing the Environmental Consents process on a major development scheme and/or major infrastructure project

* Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams on complex projects

* Proven record of working effectively on the environmental aspects of major projects, including securing Consents in a timely manner and ensuring compliance.

* Degree level qualification
