Lead Azure Platform Engineer | up to £90,000 | Remote (UK) | SaaS Scale up G.Digital have partnered with a SaaS Scale up on the lookout for a Platform Engineer to own the direction of a brad new Azure platform to make it genuinely platform-orientated (not siloed, not gate-kept, not an afterthought ). You'll lead a small but mighty team of three Platform Engineers, working hand-in-hand with Software Engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and future-proof cloud infrastructure in Azure. If you love building systems that just work and empowering engineers to ship faster, safer, and smarter this one's for you What you'll be doing Leading the design, deployment and management of Azure-based infrastructure, using a mix of PaaS and IaaS. Owning CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps we're talking smooth, automated, zero-touch deployments. Driving an Infrastructure as Code first approach (Terraform, Bicep... you know the drill). Building shared platform services that make developers' lives easier observability, secure pipelines, vulnerability scanning, and more. Embedding a FinOps mindset to keep things efficient and cost-effective. Acting as the go-to Azure expert, sharing best practices and shaping architectural decisions. Coaching and mentoring your team regular 1:1s, career guidance, and a focus on learning and growth. What you'll bring Deep experience with Azure services and modern DevOps tooling. A background in building scalable, secure, and reliable platforms. A collaborative mindset you want to work with Software Engineers, not just for them. Strong leadership skills: you care about your team's success as much as your own. Curiosity, creativity, and a healthy dislike of manual processes.
