Responsibilities

As a Project Director you'll be working within our Natural Resources business, in this role you'll lead a large-scale wastewater treatment project of critical importance to our client which is a £80m+ project involving the design, construction, and commissioning of Wanlip Wastewater Treatment Works. The project aims to significantly upgrade the wastewater treatment capacity and meet stringent environmental regulations, while also ensuring long-term sustainability and community benefits without disruption to the network
Your day to day will include:

  • Providing overall leadership and direction for the project, ensuring it meets all objectives within budget, schedule, and quality constraints.
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive project management plan, including risk management, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Managing the project budget and tracking all expenditures with strict accountability.
  • Overseeing the procurement process for all equipment, materials, and services, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance with regulations.
  • Managing project risks and proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Managing project documentation and reporting, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, addressing any concerns.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Director is great for you if you:

  • With experience in a similar role, or ready to move into a Directorship role, you'll have proven track record of client relationships and securing work on major infrastructure schemes.
  • Degree qualified in a related field, you'll have extensive project management experience and experience of delivering high value infrastructure projects.
  • Able to demonstrate experience of leading large, complex infrastructure projects, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Experience working with government agencies and navigating regulatory requirements.
