Support the Mechanical Supervisor in the safe operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and installations within the Trust estate,
Establishing efficient and effective teams with high performance standards
To assist and support the Estates Mechanical Manager in ensuring the Property Maintenance Department operates within all Health and Safety guidelines, and that all Statutory and Mandatory obligations for the Trust
Mechanical systems/Pressure systems/lifts, ventilation system or water systems
~ To act up as Mechanical Manager when required.

C& G, NVQ or similar in a mechanical discipline


oCPD in line management oHNC/HND in an engineering discipline oCompetent or Authorised/Responsible Person in a specialist discipline oTime served apprenticeship


oHave previous experience of line management oExperience managing complex technical issues within a sensitive environment oTo have experience in managing meetings, toll box talks or similar oTo have experience in dealing with contractors oAble to demonstrate the ability to set direction, inspire, coach, manage, motivate and develop a high performing team.


oTo have experience in working within healthcare premises oTo have experience of working on CAD systems oTo have experience of MICAD


oTo have sound knowledge of mechanical systems. oTo have a sound knowledge in HTM, and HBNs oTo have a basic understanding of asset management (PPM and reactive tasks, SFG 20)


oTo have a full understanding of the importance for Method Statements and Risk Assessments oTo have an understanding of Architectural and Engineering technical drawings oTo have the ability to provide technical advice and knowledge to a predominantly a mechanical workforce and support the wider multi-skilled workforce. oTo have the ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications o: oYou have knowledge & awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to your role oYou are able to communicate effectively to ensure high standards of care, treatment, service or support as appropriate to your role, oAble to provide a customer focussed service oStrong team and personal organisational and time management skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines, to act from individuals to large groups oTo be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment ensuring all paperwork, drawings and reports are correct.


oTo be qualified and certificated in IOSH Management oAbility to analyses complex problems and to develop and workable solutions to address them. Able to demonstrate a variety of leadership styles oBe able to undertake light physical efforts, able to work at height and confined spaces


oHas a good understanding of policies and procedures governing their area of work. oSelf-motivated and proactive with a can-do attitude and track record delivery oAble to work autonomously oAble to demonstrate that you are honest, reliable and trustworthy oTreat patients, visitors, colleagues with respect oAbility to travel between Trust sites oAbility to be flexible to meet the needs of the team, the service and the Trust oTo have excellent interpersonal and presentation skills oTo be able to work on own initiative and without direct supervision oTo be able to take a lead role in meetings with contractors and Trust staff.
