Maths Leader - King’s Wood School and Nursery

Location: High Wycombe

At King’s Wood School and Nursery, you will have the opportunity to join an enthusiastic, hard-working and supportive team committed to providing an enriched experience for our children. You will be teaching pupils who love coming to school and working in a well-resourced, attractive environment.

Salary: MPS or UPS plus TLR 2.2

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

The governors of this large Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding dynamic and inspirational teacher to lead Maths across all phases. King’s Wood staff are committed to raising standards in all areas and the successful applicant will be a teacher who genuinely believes in challenging every child to be the best that they can be. You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a caring committed team and be willing to become involved in the overall life and development of the school.

The post includes a full-time teaching commitment. All teachers have 0.1 PPA release time and additional leadership release will also be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your leadership journey. You will be joining an experienced senior leadership team and have access to high quality leadership development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Be driven to attain high standards for all pupils
  • Have a thorough understanding of best practice in Maths
  • Have a thorough of understanding of effective assessment for learning
  • Be able to use data as a tool for analysis
