We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager, based in Shrewsbury.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving growth for our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential markets, industries, and clients to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to develop tailored solutions for clients and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage, motivate and track the sales team to achieve their targets.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to inform business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, tenders, presentations, and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track sales performance, analyze data, and provide regular updates and forecasts to management on a monthly basis.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize sales processes, strategies, and tactics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Chemical or Automotive industry experience would be advantageous
  • The successful candidate must be in the Shrewsbury office a minimum of 2 days a week.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and partners.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to cultivate and maintain valuable connections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
