Yolk Recruitment is delighted to assist an award winning legal firm in Cheltenham in their quest for an experienced Head of Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join their thriving team. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance and support across all transactional teams. They will help develop the technical skills of the staff, ensuring compliance with trade standards and SRA regulations. They'll improve quality control systems and introduce a peer-to-peer review process. Leading a team of qualified and qualifying lawyers, they will help them achieve their career goals. They will also drive the growth of the sale and purchase business and collaborate with the IT team on developing the case management system to support sale and purchase work.
As Head of Conveyancing, your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-
Oversee team performance, playing a key role in achieving the firm's ambitious growth goals.
Collaborate with Team Leaders, reporting directly to the Managing Partner, and become an integral part of the Management Board.
At least 5 years of experience managing a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
Extensive knowledge and experience in residential conveyancing, including: Understanding of SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions in residential conveyancing.
Strong team management skills with a proven ability to develop, coach, and mentor team members.
Hybrid working 3 days a week in the office 2 from home.
