Purpose of the Transport & Operations Manager Role:
Our client is looking for a dynamic, reactive, strategic Transport & Operations Manager to lead there transport department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that goods are delivered efficiently and on time, contributing significantly to the overall sales and service quality.


Main duties and responsibilities of the Transport & Operations Manager Role:
. Oversee a team of driver & logistics staff, ensuring a high level of performance and job satisfaction. Provide training, guidance, and support as needed.
. Manage the in-house transport fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and compliant with all regulations.
. Work closely with courier services and external logistic fleets to arrange and optimise delivery schedules.
. Ensure that all transportation activities comply with legal and safety standards.
. Monitor transportation costs and work on strategies to reduce expenses without compromising on service quality.
. Address and resolve any issues or delays in the transport process, implementing long-term solutions to recurrent problems.


Experience/knowledge requirements for the Transport & Operations Manager:
. Proven experience as a Transport Manager Manager
. Excellent Excel experience for manipulating data
. Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
. Good understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
. Proficiency in transportation management software and toos.
