Tiverton Devon, United Kingdom Marie Curie Cancer Care Full time

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
Marie Curie are recruiting for a Hub Coordinator to join our team in Tiverton, Devon, on a part-time basis.
As a Hub Coordinator, you will play a key role as part of our clinical support team as you act as a first point of contact for all Marie Curie services across Devon.
Collaborating closely with Senior Coordinators, you will help maintain the efficient operation of the coordination hub by liaising with both clinical support and management staff, as well as, volunteers, referrers, local CHC teams, and patients’ families and carers during and after care.
You will oversee and facilitate the referral process, coordinate and schedule care as needed, ensuring precise data entry into both operational and clinical systems. NVQ Level 3, or equivalent (is desirable, but not essential)
Working knowledge of windows applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc), Emails and the Internet.
Experience in a customer care or mediation role, including dealing with complaints in a health setting Excellent communication, inter-personal and organisational skills
A commitment to helping patients with complex care needs
A desire to help others, work towards targets and develop their skills
