Having launched in 2016, with a range of greeting cards and gift-wrap, we quickly expanded and now have an extensive range of 1000 products spanning stationery, gifts, home fragrance, tableware, travel accessories, luggage and home furnishings. Our designs are supplied to major UK high street retailers spanning John Lewis, Next and M&S and our products are sold in 60 countries around the world.
This is an exciting full-time, in-house position to join our incredibly passionate and dedicated team in our North London studio. There is huge growth potential and we look forward to finding the right person to help us take the brand to the next level.
Role/Responsibilities
- Immerse yourself in the Sara Miller London brand; product breadth, USPs and market positioning
- Identify new commercial opportunities to promote the SML brand, raise awareness and revenues with a focus on:
a. key target retailers (UK & worldwide) to deliver full branded in-store propositions
b. brand collaborations with specialist product partners
c. activity with specialist/expert industry partners (hospitality, retail)
- Present and sell the brand to third parties, opening up dialogue and aiding visualisation of new opportunities
- Liaise with in-house Design, Product Development, Brand and Legal teams and third parties to realise opportunities
- Ensure new projects are supported with branding, marketing and merchandising involvement from SML team (graphics requirement, launch events etc)
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships providing outstanding customer management through prompt and accurate communications
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Marketing or relevant field
- Experience in sales/ business development role, 5yrs plus
- Proven track record of commercial growth with the ability to identify and drive opportunities for revenue generation
- Proactive, ambitious and self-motivated
- Strong strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Good understanding of the legal and financial aspects of business
- Established network of contacts across the gift/homeware industry
- Foreign language in addition to English beneficial.
