Overall Purpose:

To ensure sufficient stock availability to achieve overall sales and margin targets. To promptly and effectively respond to sales channel requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve individual, team, and company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Negotiate supplier retros, promotional support, and rate card funding.
  • Ensure product details, including correct weights and dimensions, are updated in internal systems.
  • Promptly liaise with internal customers.
  • Process special purchase orders.
  • Update all promotions and new product development (NPD) in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Keep the Head of Trading fully informed of any current or impending issues.
  • Cover priority tasks for absent Trading team members.
  • Perform any other duties as defined by the Head of Trading.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards, ensuring tidiness, safety, and adherence to good working practices.

Stock Management:

  • Monitor slow-moving stock and propose actions to the Trading Manager.
  • Regularly review and adjust minimum/maximum re-order levels, forecasting stock where required.
  • Raise and place replenishment orders with approved suppliers, ensuring continuity of stock levels within the set minimum/maximum levels.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in stock profiling and supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement.
