Activities are likely to include management and delivery of strategic International legal projects, commercial legal advice, assisting in managing the company’s strategic management share plan, hands-on issue resolution, commercial contracts of varying levels of complexity, intellectual property, regulatory compliance and management of international litigation.You will work with key stakeholders to take decisions on legal risk and, working alongside the Group General Counsel and other members of the Group Legal Team, be involved in delivery of the Group legal activities across multiple countries.The CandidateTo be considered for this roleYou must be a UK qualified solicitor with a high quality, legal training from a respected large / medium sized commercial law firm or an in-house legal department.Your experience can come from a range of the mainstream commercial practice areas, such as commercial contracts, corporate, or intellectual property.All levels of PQE welcome to apply and the role may be adapted accordingly.To succeed, the appointee will be someone who:Is an ‘all-rounder’, self-motivated, enthusiastic; someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and actively get involved.Accountable for their actions and a problem solver; open, honest, and collaborative.Has a passion for excellence and an eye for details but can balance this with coming to quick practical risk-based solutions.Has an entrepreneurial spirit and a ‘can do’ attitude.Has high levels of accountability and drive, a sense of urgency and responds well to pressure and deadlines.an approachable ‘down to earth’ style to fit the business culture.Key AttractionsHigh levels of responsibility, visibility and inclusion.An opportunity to work with a truly embedded legal team which works in sync with the business offering practical commercial solutions within a legal context, not just standard legal advice.Regular management team exposure since sound legal advice underpins all areas of the group’s business.Career development prospects.
