Application Support Analyst
As a Barclays Application Support Analyst, you will perform a critical role for the new Mortgage Application Experience applications to ensure stability, continuity, and technical assistance of applications, providing rapid response to incidents and escalated user queries. You’ll be accountable for meeting contract obligations, including SLAs, with accelerated technical resolution, expertise and specialist system knowledge of incidents. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business. Owning individual Incidents, ensuring delivery of solutions in line with the SLA agreements to deadlines and quality standards, providing regular updates to key stakeholders at all levels
• Providing expertise and specialist system knowledge 24/7 (on a rota basis) to allow resolution of key incidents outside of business hours
• Identifying proactive remedial strategies to prevent future problems, and to improve the quality of delivered software
• Helping major Incident Management by assimilating large amounts of technical and data to identify the most appropriate course of action
• Working experience within an AWS platform
• Experience within Application Support
• Hands on experience with SQL and/or Oracle scripting
• Hands on experience with Unix/Linux commands and scripts
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience of API support
• Basic knowledge of tools like Jenkins, Chef and other deployment tools
• Hands on experience with Unix/Linux commands and scripts
• ITIL Certified
