Job Title : Information Security Analyst

Location : London / Remote with Flexible Working Arrangements

Salary : Up to £70k per annum

Are you an Information Security Analyst, looking to join a dynamic and fast-growing fintech company, where security and privacy is paramount in safeguarding data, systems and platforms against potential threats to ensure compliance with industry standards.

About The Role:

As a highly skilled an Information Security Analyst your role will be responsible for protecting the organisation's information assets by developing, implementing, and monitoring security measures. You will work closely with IT, compliance and risk management teams to ensure that security policies and practices are robust and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
  • Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to our information systems. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risk.
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure the company complies with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards. Assist in preparing for and conducting security audits.
  • Incident Response: Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Data Protection: Oversee data protection strategies, including encryption, access control, and data loss prevention (DLP) measures.
  • Security Awareness: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees about information security best practices and emerging threats.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor security systems and access logs for unusual activity. Prepare reports and presentations on security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance status for management.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Experience: 3-5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on risk management, compliance, and policy development.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of security principles, including encryption, access control, and network security. Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Experience with regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001. Knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) frameworks.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess complex security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
