Location : 2 days PW in an office Manchester/ Salford, Sheffield, Liverpool, Peterborough, Solihull or Croydon. May be required to travel to other locations and will be paid expenses from base office. Security Clearance: SC
Public sector commercial experience
Produce procurement plans for goods and services, working collaboratively with Commercial colleagues and the relevant business unit.
In line with the Cabinet Office Sourcing Playbook, ensure that all transparency requirements are complied with, including publication of top Key Performance Indicators.
Provide commercial guidance to peers or senior colleagues.
Ensure that savings are identified, understood, recorded and managed at all stages of the procurement and contract management.
Commercially manage and support delivery of a range of high profile and business critical commercial arrangements that support the operational and strategic objectives in line with procurement legislation, current government commercial best practice and procurement law.
Support Operational Contract Monitoring teams with the day to day monitoring and management of contracts including identification and implementation of efficiency initiatives through controlled contract variation.
Capture and maintain auditable performance information and logs; produce Management Information/reports for key stakeholders to support commercial delivery; Identify and manage commercial risks and maintain contract risk logs, ensuring significant risks are escalated to senior management.
Manage general enquiries and provide advice about commercial processes.
Experience of working in a procurement team or contract management team and a good understanding of commercial best practice.
Public sector commercial experience
