GXP Support Officer

  • Part time role based Sydney. Hybrid role with at least 2 days in a week expected at the office
  • Baseline clearance is required, or Australian citizens must have the ability to obtain clearance.

Job Description:

At Geospatial eXploitation Products (GXP), we’ve experienced significant growth over the past ten years. GXP is a small multi-national and multi-cultural team based out of disparate geographicallocations and the work culture is akin to a start-up. The GXP Support Officer (PSO) position is responsible for primarily 2 aspects – coordinate export compliance and security matters and lastly support project managers in capture and delivery activities. PSO will functionally report into the Head of Operations.

Objectives of this Role:

PSO will be a multi-faceted role and is seeking a dynamic individual who is a keen learner and thrives under a fast paced environment. Details of the different facets are described below:

Export Compliance responsibilities include:

  • Support the drafting of export compliance documents such as marketing licenses, technical assistance agreements, technology control plans etc
  • Collate and maintain export registers for the various regions
  • Act as the International coordinator for all Export compliance activities by proactively engaging regional teams to understand business needs and export impacts
  • Liaison for International GXP into the UK and US Export teams
  • Providing consistent interpretation of the ITAR and EAR to International GXP team
  • Assist in the delivery of export training to the regional teams
  • Providing support on export compliance and security matters

Project coordination responsibilities include:

  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
  • Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning
  • Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Act as liaison for all International project/program related activities with the US based project management team
  • Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and
  • implementation issues
  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers, to support project management

A strong candidate may have some or all of the following:

  • A degree international business/business management
  • Possess experience in providing administrative support to senior management
  • Strong IT skills to support written communication, analysis and presentations
  • Good administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, good etiquette and great interpersonal skills
  • Full fluency in English is a must (written, oral, idiomatically)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and meeting datelines
  • Ability to manage internal and external correspondence
  • Ability to observe best business practices, regulations and policies
  • The role is part of an highly international/global team where flexibility in working hours (as needed) is expected
