Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Senior Authorised Person to work on our UK Power Networks contractin South East England
As a Senior Authorised Person you will be part of our substation build team working UKPN's 11kV, 33kV & 132kV Distribution Network. MES is proud to be a key partner on the UKPN ED1SON Alliance Contract, deliveringsubstation build and refurbishment works across the East of England including design, project management, on site cable installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear installation, bunding, commissioning, decommissioning and demolition.
As the Senior Authorised Person
Provide technical support for the project teams
Development and implementation of Safety documentation including liaison with outage planning
Preparation of switching schedules via the PowerOn software application.
Isolate and Earth High Voltage apparatus and put people to work via a Permit to Work
Provide technical and operational support for projects at a concept stage to ensure robust, cost effective build solutions.
Assist/Review in the creation of project outage programmes
Ensure full compliance on projects with all Morrison procedures and current legislation
Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods across the contract
A proven track record of working on and around the High Voltage distribution network
Sound understanding of engineering policy, procedure and legislation in addition to sound decision making skills.
Competent 11kV, 33kV or 132kV SAP on an established DNO Distribution Network
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers and project staff
Qualified to HNC / Degree Level in Electrical Engineering orequivalent
