Based in the Oxfordshire area, you'll lead complex technical projects across the full lifecycle, driving cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, and senior stakeholders. This isn't your typical project management role – you'll need genuine technical credibility to hold your own with PhDs, scientists, and engineering specialists. What You'll Be Doing: Leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects from inception through completion, you'll be the central point of accountability, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and resource constraints. You'll develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers whilst coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving resource conflicts. What We're Looking For: Degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or related technical discipline (this technical foundation is critical for credibility) Proven track record managing complex technical projects in engineering, R&D, or manufacturing environments Experience across diverse organisational sizes – enterprise, SME, and crucially, startup or scale-up environments Senior-level project management certifications (PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM or similar) Strong understanding of both hardware and software development lifecycles Expertise in project/programme management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) Ability to confidently discuss and understand software engineering concepts – you'll be managing algorithm-heavy, complex software projects What's On Offer: Competitive salary: £75,000 (dependent on experience) Annual performance bonus Flexible working hours (hybrid working available after successful probation) Apply now or call me directly on 07791 615703 for a straight-talking conversation about this opportunity.
