JOB SUMMARY
Our client, is a major player in the LNG shipping industry. This role is based in London and reports to the Fleet Manager. The role responsibility is to ensure compliance with the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) under the Safety and Environmental Policy and to achieve the Quality Objectives stated in our clients Mission Statement.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client stands as a global leader in LNG vessel ownership and ship management, offering technical support for the safe operations and maintenance of their LNG fleet.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have have the following skills and experience, (but not limited to):-

  • Sailed as a Chief Engineer CoCI onboard tankers. LNG Vessel sailing experience is a strong advantage, but if you haven't sailed on LNG, LPG and chemical tanker vessel experience will be considered together with a Dangerous Cargo endorsement.
  • Ideally you should have shore based experience having worked as a Technical Superintendent / Vessel Manager for a ship manager or owner. Relevant experience having worked as a Technical Superintendent with LNG vessels is a strong advantage.
  • The right to live and work in the UK is a strong advantage, but not required and my client will sponsor a UK visa for the successful if necessary.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role responsibilities will include, (but not limited to):-

  • Provide technical expertise and support to your vessels, crews and colleagues relating to complex Technical Issues.
  • Manage complex OPEX and CAPEX budgets as well as overseeing Dry Docks and Repair work that are conducted on your vessels.
  • Contribute to the greater team and lead technical studies and fleet support activities as directed.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
A market-related salary commensurate with the level of responsibility for this role is offered. If required a generous relocation package is also on offer.
