Vessel Stimulation Engineer

We are currently looking for a Vessel Stimulation Engineer to join our busy team on The Island Patriot, Esbjerg, Denmark based on a 28/28 day rotation.

The Vessel Stimulation Engineer is the second highest level of Engineer on the Vessel and will generally be responsible for overseeing the engineering tasks set by the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer.

**Salary**: £33,000.00 - £40,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience, Basic Offshore Allowance (when applicable)

**Contract Type**:Full Time, Permanent

**Vessel Stimulation Engineer Duties**:

- To provide an effective liaison between the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer, the Junior Vessel Stimulation Engineers, and Laboratory Technicians.
- To support the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer with accurate and professional output of material QA/QC, job reports, chemical reconciliations and reporting procedures and other processes and documents as required.
- To support the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer in R&D, fluid development, fluid testing and internal / external vessel improvement projects.
- To ensure competent, accurate and timely laboratory testing as required by the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer and / or Engineering Manager.
- To take an enthusiastic role in the Vessel safety and environmental culture and to assist the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer in his role as leader in the Vessel for HSEQ.
- To assist the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer in effective Customer liaison, facilitating regular visits and presentations at various company offices around the North Sea and representing Company at conferences, workshops, and industry meetings.
- To liaise effectively and confidently with the Customer on general fluid design and general fracturing principles.
- Mentoring of Junior Vessel Stimulation Engineers and aiding the Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer in providing training in addition to any general and / or specific training provided by the Company.
- Able to take on the general responsibilities of Senior Vessel Stimulation Engineer if called upon through absence or due to long treatments.
- The Stimulation Engineer will be known and regarded well by the Customer base of the North Sea.

**Vessel Stimulation Engineer Requirements**:

- A BSc Degree in an Engineering discipline.
- To be comfortable in general fracturing design and capable and familiar in the use of StimPlan and general pressure analysis software.This includes overseeing treatments and making quick decisions in the absence of/for the client.
- Ability to work as a team as well as on own initiative.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
- High grade project and time management skills.
- Experience of working as an engineer on a Well stimulation vessel.
- General understanding of stimulation equipment and processes.
- Working knowledge of all general HSE requirements of the operation and a good working knowledge of chemical Ecotox regulations.
- Competent in all aspects of fluid design, QAQC control and environmental management.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
