Are you a dynamic HR professional who is looking for a new challenge and want to make a difference?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy yet supportive HR Medical Staffing team as a Senior Medical Employee Relations Advisor.

The role will be challenging, but enjoyable with a varied portfolio providing high quality, proactive employee relations support to the Medical and Dental workforce across the Trust. You will work in partnership with line managers and the HR team to further develop the standard of Medical ER practice, ensuring best practice in employee relations for our Medical and Dental workforce, using a positive and can-do attitude.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, CIPD qualified HR professional who is able to demonstrate an in-depth working knowledge of managing a wide range of complex and sensitive caseloads including grievance, disciplinary, capability and attendance issues. Main duties of the job

The Senior Medical ER Advisor role is focused on the Medical and Dental workforce within an NHS setting.

You will provide high quality advice and guidance directly to managers to facilitate the early resolution of difficult, complex, or sensitive employee relations issues ensuring that the risks associated with such cases are effectively and efficiently managed.

You will support and develop an effective Medical ER advisory service to the Trust across a range of employee relations matters included in the Trust's Maintaining High Professional Standards policy including discipline, conduct and capability. You will ensure that you give professional, expert and technical guidance and support in line with local and national policies and procedures at all times.

In your role, you will effectively manage an allocated employee relations caseload from initial enquiry through to resolution and outcome. This will involve responsibility for providing support and technical advice to case investigators during investigations and the output of the written report. You will coordinate panel and hearing arrangements whilst providing tools and support to panel members ensuring sound best practice and that any risks are contained.

You will proactively advise and support managers on complex sickness and attendance management in accordance with Trust policy.
