Slough Berkshire, United Kingdom Dojo Full time

We're reinventing payments. In less than four years, Dojo disrupted the market to become the largest and most loved acquirer in the UK. Our payments infrastructure, purpose-built for in-person commerce, is game changing. Now, over 150,000 customers across four countries choose to transact billions with us every year. But we're just getting started. Our people are the driving force behind our success. They are our greatest investment and our ultimate competitive advantage. We hire exceptional people and give them the autonomy, trust, and ownership to thrive. The results take care of themselves. The Role... Core Payments is the engine behind every transaction at Dojo. Within this domain, Payments Engine and Device Management power one of the most critical parts of our business — enabling fast, secure, and reliable in-person payments. As Senior Product Manager, you'll own the systems that sit at the heart of how we take payments on devices. You'll work closely with two deeply technical teams, ensuring we have a clear strategy, roadmap, and execution plan that supports Dojo's growth and keeps our payments experience best-in-class. This is a role for someone who thrives on technical depth. You'll be comfortable operating in complex systems, diving into the gritty details of APIs, protocols, and integrations — and just as confident in communicating those details to non-technical stakeholders. There's no glossy interface here: this is the product that powers every transaction, and your work will keep it fast, resilient, and trusted by merchants across our markets. What You Will Do... Own the Payments Engine and Device Management roadmap: Define a clear strategy that drives resilience, scalability, and speed across our in-person payment stack. Partner closely with engineering: Work side-by-side with two technical teams, shaping architecture and technical decisions to deliver high-performance, reliable systems. Drive technical initiatives: Lead projects that go deep — from optimising authorisation and routing flows to evolving device firmware and management tooling. Bridge business and technology: Translate complex technical detail into clear business value, helping stakeholders understand the "why" behind every initiative. Champion reliability and performance: Ensure our payments stack is always-on, fault-tolerant, and capable of handling high transaction volumes at scale. Align across functions: Collaborate with Operations, Risk, and Product teams to ensure new features and capabilities integrate seamlessly into the broader Dojo ecosystem. What You Will Bring... Technical product mindset: You're hands-on, curious, and not afraid to dive into the details of how complex systems work. Experience in technical domains: 2+ years in a product role within payments, fintech, or another technically complex environment (hardware, infrastructure, APIs). Strong partnership with engineering: You know how to work closely with technical leads, contributing to discussions on architecture, trade-offs, and system design. Systems thinker: You understand how technical components connect to deliver real-world value — from devices to backend services. Clear communicator: You can simplify complex concepts, tailoring detail to your audience while keeping everyone aligned. Customer focus: Even without a user interface, you think deeply about how your systems power great experiences for our merchants and their customers. Organised and outcome-driven: You're comfortable managing multiple initiatives across teams, keeping execution sharp and purposeful. Security and compliance: A strong background in and understanding of payment systems, API security, and applied cryptography. Experience with PCI compliance is desirable, but not required. Dojo home and away We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These "together days" foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas. That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week. With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you. Question: what's curious, relentless, and customer obsessed? If you're keen to know the answer, you're a third of the way to meeting our Dojo values. If the following speak to you, let's talk: You're curious. You have a real desire to learn and create. You're relentless. You keep going even when it's easier not to. You're customer-obsessed. You know how important customers are to what you do. Diversity, equity, and inclusion at Dojo From local bakeries to well-known eateries, Dojo payments serve over 150,000 places across the UK. And something that's fundamental to creating relevant, innovative products at Dojo is to build teams to reflect the diversity of the businesses we serve. Our drive to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion is closely linked to helping employees thrive and innovating for better customer experiences. If you care about your work, you're curious, and you think customer-first, you have a place at Dojo. To make sure you're the best you can be throughout the recruitment process, let us know if you need any extra adjustments to help you thrive.
