About the role

We are an innovative high-tech next-generation telecommunications start-up based in the Surrey area, seeking a skilled and experienced Product Lifecycle Management controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining the Arena PLM platform to support our product development lifecycle. The Product Lifecycle Management controller will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient management of product data, streamline processes, and optimize workflows within the Arena PLM system. This role requires a strong emphasis on multi-functional collaboration and fostering a robust team spirit. We are seeking candidates with a flexible working attitude, a team player who can also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and take responsibility in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and configure the Arena PLM platform according to business requirements and best practices.
  • Assume responsibility for the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) change management processes.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM) across drawings, the PLM system, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to manage product data throughout its lifecycle, from concept to disposal.
  • Supervise the change management approval process within Arena PLM system.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users of the Arena PLM system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to ensure seamless data management and collaboration within Arena PLM.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure successful transfer of HW designs into production.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in PLM technology to recommend and implement improvements to the Arena PLM platform.5G and RF power amplifiers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structuring, versioning, and maintenance. Experience in managing complex BOMs across different product lines or projects.
  • Customize workflows, forms, and fields within Arena PLM to align with the organization's processes and procedures.
  • Develop/maintain supplier relationships.
Candidate requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Quality Assurance or related fields.
  • Over 6 years proven experience implementing and configuring Arena PLM or similar PLM platforms.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and familiarity with PLM concepts such as BOM (Bill of Materials) management, change management, and document control.
  • Experience with PLM integrations, particularly with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Mentor Pads.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
