Hawksmoor is growing We are very excited to commence the search for an experienced Corporate Chef to capitalize on the strong start Hawksmoor has had in building its brand and presence in New York and take the brand multi-state. They will make sure Hawksmoor NYC reaches its potential – with a focus on customer experience; management and team culture and retention; product quality, consistency and sourcing and core financial metrics. Building on the outstanding practices in place in the UK, the role will be influential in helping develop the systems and practices to support the operation of World Class restaurants.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Responsible for delivering Hawksmoor standard Product out of the kitchens

· Hawksmoor standard food, quality, consistency, service, ethics price from suppliers

· Implement effective controls of Food COG’s, Labor and Direct Expense cost.

· Implement and oversee effective waste management controls.

· Analyze and assess current supply chain and procurement processes to ensure we are receiving the best quality product in the most cost-effective way.

· Menu development and menu engineering

· Selection process for new Exec Chefs – sign off technical skills, their ability to execute food - quality & consistency, set successful hires up for success

· Train, develop and manage all BOH management teams

· Work closely and collaboratively with Executive General Managers in ensuring all Hawksmoor food standards are followed and adhered to, training on new menu items and leading educational briefing (pre-shifts) to the team/s.

· BOH lead-by-example on company culture policies and procedures

· BOH Specialist in all key stations which includes but is not limited to prep, expediting, etc.

Key Competencies /Qualifications :

· Experience in building systems for scalability and operational efficiency, which include financial, scheduling, inventory systems, quality assurance, cost control.

· Passion for cooking and enjoys developing a team.

· In depth understanding of supply chain, vendor management/ relations.

· Able to lift 30+ lbs.

· Fluent in both written and spoken English.

· Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards.

· Polished personal presentation: grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook.

· Communicates information effectively and efficiently.

· Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business.

· Ability to travel when necessary.

· Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job functions.
