The Prep Cook is responsible for properly preparing all food, maintaining quality control, sanitizing workstations, following all procedures and recipes, receiving inventories, and more. Food Safety and Sanitation Training is required upon hire.
Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed. This includes competitive compensation starting at $25.00 per hour.
Follows recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation
• Maintains quality control for all products, including monitoring freshness of product daily
• Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling, and kneading of food products
• Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products
• Receives and inventories food and beverage product and supplies
• or one to three months related experience and/or training; Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (i.e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
• Food Safety and Sanitation Training
Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals, and in outdoor weather
