HR Advisor – Food Manufacturing Sunderland | £30,000 | Site-Based If you’re looking for an HR role where you can genuinely make an impact — not just push paper and chase signatures — this could be a good fit. You’ll be working closely with a proactive HR Business Partner and site leadership team, supporting around 250 people in a busy food manufacturing environment. It’s hands-on, varied, and fast-moving — the kind of place where no two days are the same, and that’s exactly what you like about HR. What you’ll be doing: Managing low-to-mid-level ER cases — absence management, investigations, disciplinaries — the real people stuff. Supporting recruitment and onboarding: interviews, offer letters, right-to-work checks, inductions, and everything in between. Keeping HR data clean and accurate across systems like SuccessFactors and Kronos (because numbers that don’t add up drive you mad). Handling payroll changes, queries, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for month-end. Supporting training coordination and tracking compliance. Getting involved in engagement activities — surveys, comms, events — the bits that make work a bit more human. What we’re looking for: You’ll already have experience in HR — ideally 1–3 years in a generalist role. Confident handling day-to-day HR queries and lower-level ER issues. Working towards your CIPD Level 5 (or already have it). Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment — manufacturing experience would be a big plus. Great with people, detail, and deadlines — in that order. What’s in it for you: A visible, hands-on role in a growing manufacturing business. Lots of variety and responsibility — this isn’t a box-ticking HR job. The chance to develop alongside a supportive HR team who’ll actually help you progress.
