The Opportunity

The Compliance and Regulation function, sitting in the Legal Operations and Compliance team, operates at the heart of IAG Loyalty, providing value-added strategic support to decisions made across the breadth of the organisation. This support helps drive growth and deliver shareholder value.

You'll lead our compliance and regulatory function with overall accountability for ensuring internal IAGL policies and regulatory/legislative compliance are managed judiciously, with the appropriate advisory, monitoring and assurance procedures are in place.

You'll have full accountability for ensuring we meet internal and external regulatory and compliance standards, including (but not limited to) FCA permissions, Competition Law, Internal Codes of Conduct, Internal Audit and Government legislation.

This is an ideal role for someone who has a generalist knowledge of regulatory and compliance and models of delivery including advisory, monitoring and assurance processes.

How will I add value to the business?

  • Ensure we meet all regulatory requirements and guidance through the review of existing processes, procedures, and controls.
  • You'll continuously and proactively drive simplification of processes, systems, and/or automation to reduce costs of meeting compliance requirements and remove complexity
  • Provide day to day advise, training and perform a consultative role to the wider business on a broad spectrum of topics including (but not limited to) the FCA, travel regulations (i.e., ATOL), consumer regulations, customer terms and conditions and ASA.
  • Regular horizon scanning, monitoring proposed regulatory changes relevant to our business and provide impact analysis of such changes, ensure proactive communication across the business.
  • Produce and deliver regular reporting to the IAGL Leadership Team and to the wider IAG group.
  • Work closely with the Risk and Business Continuity Lead to enable the capturing, monitoring and reporting of risks related to IAGL's compliance obligations.
  • Actively track key policy and regulatory changes and develop appropriate policy and framework to manage and communicate changes.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, building effective relationships across the whole of IAG Loyalty (IAGL) and IAG (including its operating companies).
  • Represent IAGL at industry forums and conferences, to understand and interpret the impact of regulatory and legislative changes that affect our business.
  • Act as the escalation point for IAGL Internal Audit; ensuring all reporting, actions and outcomes are managed, recorded and communicated appropriately.
  • Build and manage the Compliance and Regulation team while providing support, guidance and leadership for performance and personal development.

  • Strong regulatory and compliance understanding and experience - ideally from within one of the financial services, loyalty or travel sectors (though we would still love to hear from you if your experience comes from another industry).
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally, along with the stakeholder management skills to allow you to manage and influence colleagues at all levels across the business, including our Senior Leadership Team.
  • Capable of balancing priorities and coordinating work effectively to meet deadlines.

Although you'll be based out of our London Victoria office we're happy for you to live anywhere in the UK. All we ask is that you'll be prepared to travel to the office approximately twice per week.
