Reliability Engineer

The Opportunity You'll be responsible for developing and delivering reliability cases, plans, analyses, and assessments across complex systems. Your work will help shape engineering decisions, ensuring risks are understood and managed while delivering practical, cost-effective evidence. Producing reliability case reports, FMECA, reliability predictions and supporting documentation Planning and conducting progressive reliability assurance activities Collaborating closely with systems engineering to ensure reliability aligns across the lifecycle Applying modern reliability prediction techniques (experience with FIDES is an advantage) Working with internal and external stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams Contributing to research packages and supporting the development of junior engineers What are we ideally looking for? Strong understanding of complex electronic systems and associated reliability challenges Ability to deliver structured reliability cases and analyses (FMECA, predictions, modelling) Appreciation that reliability is more than metrics, understanding behavior, context, and testing Solid grasp of the relationship between reliability and systems engineering Problem-solving mindset with excellent analytical skills Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively Degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) Salary & Benefits: Up to £60,000 depending on experience Company Bonus: up to £2,500 Pension: up to 14% total contribution Flexi leave: up to 15 extra days Paid overtime options Enhanced parental leave up to 26 weeks + further enhancements Excellent on-site facilities (subsidised meals, parking, gym options etc.) Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site per week Strong internal L&D and professional development pathways Role requires UK nationality (single or dual) for security clearance.
