The Growth Company’s Employment team (GC) have an exciting opportunity for a Hub Manager (Offender Services) to manage Rehabilitation Activity Hubs within Lancashire and lead a team of delivery and support staff in to ensure successful delivery of the contract maximise achievement of outcomes and deliver the performance expectations of the Ministry of Justice.
The Hubs aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for people within or subject to the criminal justice system to help them on their journey to rehabilitation and resettlement.
Please note that this role is subject to contract award and your application will be accepted as an expression of interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful delivery of targets for the commissioner.
- Manage the relationship with National Probation Service (NPS) and other partners to ensure that sufficient referrals are received to meet service level targets and contract requirements.
- Lead and support a team of delivery and support staff to drive high levels of contract performance and create a ‘hub’ atmosphere and ethos of support and rehabilitation.
- Responsibility for management of the hub premises, achievement of income targets, managing staff productivity, client spend and office costs.
- Development of local relationships to ensure that a good range of provision is provided to support customer needs and support their onward journey.
- Engage with, and work closely with, local employers to create opportunities for People on Probation on provision at the hub.
- Coordinate hub delivery of one-to-one and group-work by staff, sub-contractors, and other partners.
- Deliver high quality and compliant services to People on Probation that meets contractual requirements.
- Continuous improvement of systems, quality of provision and product development.
- Work closely with NPS Probation Practitioners to manage risk and safeguarding.
- Management of data integrity and data security, including maintenance of the required audit trail.
- Management of petty cash and client spend.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant local and national policy.
About you:
- Be an experienced manager and able to effectively lead and manage staff.
- Good understanding of the issues that impact on people in probation such as substance misuse, accommodation, employability and training, mental health and wellbeing preferably within the justice sector.
- History of achieving tangible performance results.
- Results driven.
- Strong levels of individual initiative and drive.
- Resilient under pressure.
Skills Required:
- Good understanding of employability and training.
- Confident people manager.
- Good knowledge of the justice sector and delivering services for People on Probation.
- Strong levels of individual initiative and drive.
- Ability to confidently present to partner organisations and other stakeholders.
- Be proficient in producing written reports to a high standard.
