Job Description Our client is a large Energy Trading firm situated in London. This is a new role within the business and will join a growing team. As the Natural Gas Credit Risk Analyst, you will be required to perform daily credit risk management tasks, and to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of risks associated with gas trading.

Conduct Initial and ongoing compliance checks on all existing and prospective counterparties for trading
Conduct counterparty assessments (periodic and ad hoc)
Liaise with internal stakeholders on credit related issues
Prepare credit applications for local and HQ signoffs
Recommend changes in credit limits/approval status for senior management approval
Monitor counterparty exposure and control credit status of approved counterparty
Manage credit collateral

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, advanced Excel skills
Solid understanding of counterparty risk
Previous experience of credit risk management in oil, LNG and shipping

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of counterparty credit risk, a working knowledge of risk analysis and mitigation methodology.
