The Marketing department’s strategic objective is to provide marketing, digital and social media support to our Talent Management, Live, TV Production and Distribution divisions. Focusing on campaign planning and management, content creation, reporting and analysis, data management, branding positioning, merchandise and licencing, the aim is to maximise income and outreach for our talent and brands.
The vast combined knowledge of our twelve-member team contributes to the success of our division and is continuously looking at new and creative ways to enhance our talent and brands' exposure.
The Junior Designer will work in the Marketing department to assist mainly in the creation of graphic assets and occasionally promotional video content/videos for Avalon Promotions’ marketing campaigns, across our live theatre, stand-up comedy shows and TV productions.
The role will require creative thinking and an ability to work on several high-profile accounts simultaneously. This role will suit someone with a natural flare for graphic design, who is looking to grow their creative and technical skills whilst working on some of the most notable comedy and entertainment brands in the UK including: A New Musical in the West End, the award-winning podcast brand Shagged.Reporting to the Creative Lead, this role will include:
• The creation of graphic design marketing assets for our live shows and TV productions, from the storyboard stage through to full design and campaign roll-out.
• Reversioning approved artwork for multiple print and digital derivatives.
• When required, assist in the production of promotional video content from the ideation stage, through to video editing, optimising for social media formats.
Develop key art concepts, and design advertising and promotional assets for live tours and shows, TV productions, merchandise and occasionally other areas of the business.
• Pitch creative ideas to talent and talent managers and work collaboratively to develop content for marketing and press campaigns.
Assist in the development of original digital video content ideas for marketing campaigns and social media exploitation.
• Assist the Creative team with planning and producing video shoots with talent (occasionally out of office hours).
• Edit these promotional videos and/or existing footage.
Have a keen awareness of current trends in advertising and graphic design.
• Graphic design skills: Experienced in graphic design and relevant software – Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and confident presentation skills when pitching ideas to talent or talent managers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are key with a clear creative vision, while remaining open to others’ ideas.
• Video Production: Experience with filmmaking and video editing, and experience working with Premiere Pro video software is also desirable.
