Job responsibilitiesThe Operations Manager will work to manage the day to dayoperational aspects of the Surgery and the non-clinical staff, the postholderwill strive to deliver the best possible service to our patient and community.
Areas of responsibility
To monitor and support the performance of all non-clinicalfrontline staff departments. This includes Reception, Secretarial andAdministration teams, including an overview of patient access, appointment systems,workflow and general administration, patient feedback and complaints andcommunication regarding services.
To jointly ensure the effective operational delivery ofall clinical services alongside the Nursing team and other relevant ClinicalLead Partners in line with contractual requirements, QOF and CQC compliance,with specific regard to all non-clinical aspects.
To ensure staff are effectively recruited, developed andsupported to deliver the best possible service, encouraging personaldevelopment in all roles and developing a positive culture.
To work effectively with wider team colleagues, ensuringthe smooth running of the practice including the building and grounds on a dayto day basis.
To demonstrate, uphold and promote the Practice and PCNValues and development of new services.
Deputise for the Practice Manager as required.
Remain aware of local and national NHS initiatives and howthese might impact practice operations. Work with all staff to agree andimplement strategic changes with a positive attitude, ensuring the bestpossible outcomes for the Practice, staff and patients.

Person Specification Experience- * Experience in a Leadership / Management role
- * Ability to work autonomously
- * Ability to work under pressure
- * Experience of working in Primary Care or a GP Practice
- * Management of clinical and non-clinical staff
- * Knowledge of EMIS Web and clinical systems
- * Knowledge of Enhanced Services
