Customs Controller 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Customs Controller on behalf of our client based in Market Drayton, Shropshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for collating data, verifying information, and liaising with colleagues & third parties for the timely submission of Imports & Exports Customs declarations.
Hours: Mainly Mon-Fri | 40 hours per week Bank holidays will be workable on a rotating basis| Hybrid optional once trained.
Liaise internally to combine data on the daily exports and prepare paperwork for the Official Vets to inspect export loads and obtain the relevant Export health Certificates.
Support new team members with guidance and training.
Support senior colleagues with ad hoc tasks and project work as required.
Support the Senior Customs Adviser as required with any ad hoc information requests / data collection etc.
Import licences - monitor expected deliveries and work with senior colleagues to ensure appropriate licences are in place.
Continuous monitoring of UK Global Tariff and documenting any changes
Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
