A Finance Assistant and Payroll is required for a busy company in Dewsbury. This role is to support a small but busy accounts department, supporting the Financial Director and Payroll Manager across both ledgers with Payroll. As Finance Assistant you would ensure the smooth processing for four trading companies. This is a permanent and full time role, fully office based working 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1.30pm on a Friday It is based in Dewsbury but with travel to other sites and locations as required. Duties include
- Processing monthly payroll on the SAGE accounting system
- Assisting Payroll with holiday tracking
- Processing timesheets
- Reconciling of Invoices
- Processing Purchase Orders
- Helping the Sales and Purchase Ledger with processing of invoices
- Ad Hoc reports/project work as necessary
- Experience within a finance or accounts team in a busy office setting
- A good understanding of SAGE software
- Payroll experience ideally using sage
- Excellent communication and team skills
- Ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Able to work to deadlines
- Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Sage
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Workplace Pension.
- Death in service – 1 x Annual Salary

- Free parking in this role.
- 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (half hour unpaid lunch)
- 8am to 1.30pm Friday
