Finance Assistant

**Main Job Purpose**
The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing administration support and general assistance to the finance team, in respect of supplier accounts and purchasing activities. Plus some support regarding Customer accounts and Cash Allocation.
**Main Duties**:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Process and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with financial audits and internal control evaluations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
**Additional Duties**
- Provide absence cover for Senior Sales and Credit Controller activities, where possible and as required
- Responding to finance calls from reception
**Key Responsibilities**
- Liaison with suppliers as required to resolve queries
- Liaison with the Purchasing department to resolve queries
- To manage month end procedures for purchase ledger
**Experience**
- A level of educations which demonstrates numeracy and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Experience in a small office environment with a pleasant manner.
- “Can do” attitude,
- Proficient in the use of Word, Outlook and Excel
- An ability to work well under their own initiative.
