Junior Buyer

Our Eminox site designs and manufactures exhaust after-treatment systems, reducing emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services, working with the supply chain team at Gainsborough. Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 1600

Friday finish at 1500 However we do have a flexible working pattern. Overview of duties Support the Senior Buyer / Buyer in the alignment of the supply plan. Maintenance and Expediting and scheduling of orders as necessary in line with the supply plan Purchasing: services, PPE, non-materials, however, would then move into Raw material buying Support with the Generation of cost savings. Take responsibility of certain supplier Inventory levels in line with company plan Assist in preparing and conducting benchmarking exercises. Maintenance of Personnel Purchasing KPIs on a monthly basis Assist Senior Buyer / Buyer with Capital equipment and support services ensuring that cost delivery and robust commercial agreements are achieved. Assist in the setting up of new suppliers as requested by the Buyer and Senior Buyer The maintenance of Supplier Part Costs, update price update, all through our ERP system (IFS) Attend new supplier visits. About you; A minimum of 2 years experience background spent as a buyer, ideally working with suppliers from a manufacturing environment, purchasing, materials, and services which support manufacturing/ supply chain Would be advantageous if working towards CIPS or has a supply chain background within buying Proficient in using procurement systems, ERP systems Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively in a team environment. self motivated and able to use own initiative.
