Data Analyst - Retail

SUMMARY

Are you a motivated and talented individual with a passion for data analysis? Specialized Bicycle Components is looking for someone like you to join our dynamic Data and Analytics team. In this role, your primary focus will be on overseeing, validating, troubleshooting, and enhancing crucial retail data.

Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing a robust data comparison and validation protocol. Through this process, you'll gain insights into areas where our data can be refined and improved. Additionally, a significant aspect of the role involves building automated, high-quality Tableau reports. These reports will empower decision-makers by providing them with accurate information, enabling informed decision-making and fostering trust in their data.

We're not just looking for someone to develop reports; we need an individual who can adapt to various responsibilities and learn on the job. This role goes beyond report development - it requires the ability to understand the challenges faced by our retailers, stepping into their shoes to comprehend business and process obstacles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

  • Self-starter with outstanding attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, ability to stay on track, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven experience of collaborating with other teams to drive shared success
  • Attention to detail and willingness to compare adjacent data sets to drive improvement
  • Ability to centrally coordinate validation projects across diverse global teams
  • Working knowledge of databases, SQL, Excel, and data theory
  • Previous experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.
WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD

  • Prior business experience in the bike industry
  • Project management and presentation skills
  • Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence)
