Mott Macdonald Bentley (MMB) are looking to recruit a Senior General Manager.

Here within the @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’ll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.

With such an exciting portfolio of projects planned for AMP8 to keep the water flowing across the region, our ability to manage our work and outperform against our customer’s expectations will come under greater scrutiny.

To ensure we can outperform against the Anglian Water business plan, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior General Manager to join us and lead on our Infrastructure projects across the region responsible for the delivery of a capital investment programme.

What will you be doing as our new Senior General Manager?

As a Senior General Manager you will be accountable for all aspects of delivery from project inception through design and construction to commissioning and handover of the finished asset.

Furthermore, you’ll have a strong people-centric approach ensuring the right culture and behaviours are implemented and people feel motivated to achieve and develop their careers within our dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with the Head of SHEA to lead and manage an industry-leading SHEA strategy, implementation and performance for the business.
  2. To implement and comply with the @one alliance’s SHEA policy and procedures and all legal requirements therein including correct competence training for staff to deliver site work.
  3. Ensure successful delivery of each project and portfolio whilst delivering compliance to all performance criteria.
  4. Manage the commercial and financial performance of the business unit including annual budgets, forecasts and financial controls.
  5. Drive the team to significantly outperform Anglian Water targets on carbon and take a leading role in sustainability improvements linked to climate change and six capitals in the business.
  6. Outline and implement the business and delivery plans for the business in conjunction with the overarching @one alliance business plan and strategy.
  7. Develop, implement and maintain exceptional relationships across Anglian Water, the alliance partners and the supply chain to create transparency and trust.
  8. Develop, lead and manage the Infrastructure Management team to become digitally enabled, innovative and sector leading; having the customer in mind in all that we do.
