Cabling Engineer Shift

What will you be doing? Reporting to the Delivery manager the ideal candidates will have experience performing route proving, cable
pulling and cable blowing, through telecoms ducting, chambers and street cabinets within the public
highway. This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, organisation and supervision skills.

Responsible for ensuring performance and profitability for all network projects. Working closely with all
stakeholders to deliver projects that meet their requirements.
Candidate must have a good awareness of Health & Safety and company policies.
This role fits within Avonline's Business delivery team?and will work collaboratively with the Network and build teams

What will your key responsibilities be?
Experience in route proving with rod & rope, cable pulling light & heavy cables, and cable blowing using cable blowing tools.
Work along civils operatives to Clear blockages in the highway.
Be competent in the use of cabling tools, route proving cobra rods at different sizes and connecting ends.
Hold the correct certification to complete the works for PIA network, SA002, SA006, N028, K008 or S007.
Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets and or van sheets
To have a good understanding of plans and drawings and be able to review and understand work instructions prior to any work commencement
Completion of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities
Be responsible for the company assets and plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties
To treat internal and external customers with respect and provide support at all times
Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
Overtime + Emergency response required on rota with other team members required

Be in good physical health. Positive and willing to learn. Driving Licence (No more than 3 points) SKILLS REQUIRED NRSWA Streetworks Operative.
Unit 2 Signing, Lighting & Guarding (Training Available)
Trailer license preferable (Training Available)
All relevant CPCS cards to complete works. (Training Available)
Full UK driving Licence to include category BE (Vehicle + Trailer up to 7.5t)
Trained & compliant in the use of underground cable avoidance tools (Cat. & Genny) (Training Available) H & S trained would be advantageous.
