Technical Architect - FinTech

£120k-£130k + Bonus + Shares

We are looking for a Technical Architect to join a UK Leading FinTech organisation working on Product used by users in their millions.

As part of the Architecture team, you will also work with the rest of the Architects to help define the future state of their platforms alongside the technologies the organisation use. The Architecture team focus on helping the engineering teams and ultimately the business, to deliver value to their customers quickly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

  • Ownership of the technical roadmap, long term vision and ultimately final solutions
  • Advise and deliver robust system design and architectures
  • Provide guidelines and support to ensure high quality solutions
  • Perform technical comparison analysis versus competitor solutions
  • Provide technical solutions and help with problem analysis and resolution
  • Help provide high level estimates
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements, regulatory, legal, security and compliance concerns
  • Mentor and support members of the team to develop their technical abilities

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in software engineering (ideally Java and related technology)
  • API design and system integration (REST, RPC)
  • Continuous delivery and integration:
  • Experience with Argo.CD and Terraform are a plus
  • Highly distributed systems
  • Agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc
  • Containers and ideally Kubernetes
  • Public cloud experience, ideally with AWS but open to Azure or GCP
