An opportunity has arisen for a part time, Community Occupational Therapist to join our forward thinking, dynamic and integrated team based at East Lothian Community Hospital in Haddington. Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people affected by disability to achieve their outcomes. This post holder will be responsible for completing occupational therapy assessments, statutory review work, postural and seating assessments for some of the most vulnerable citizens of East Lothian. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is skilled in assessment, rehabilitation, adaptations and moving and handling. You will have sound knowledge of a range of medical conditions and how they affect a persons ability to function in their home environment. You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
Provide a responsive and needs led Occupational Therapy Service in accordance with the Council’s statutory obligations, policies and procedures.
Educated to Dip/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
Driving Licence As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

PVG Membership This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
