Job overview

Mental health is one of the key strategic priorities for the South East London Integrated Care System (ICS). The post holder will be part of the mental health planning and improvement team in the ICB's Planning Directorate and will have a key role in leading and supporting the planning, delivery and transformation of mental health services across south east London.

Successful applicants will be expected to have experience of working within a complex and challenging environment, managing demanding relationships with multiple stakeholders, and leading service changes and developments across different organisations. The post holder will be expected to proactively contribute to the multi-disciplinary commissioning and contracting team for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, providing leadership and support to the development, management and monitoring of any agreed contracts and the annual system operating plan for mental health. Previous experience in project management is desirable.

Main duties of the job

The NHS is placing more focus than ever before on mental health and South East London ICB is committed to transforming mental health services, in line with the priorities set-out within the NHS Five Year Forward View and the NHS Long Term Plan. The post holder will
have a vital role in South East London's mental health planning, commissioning andtransformation agenda, supporting the South East London ICB and the wider Integrated Care System (ICS) to deliver measurable and sustainable benefits in care.

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience working at a senior level in a specialist area
  • Evidence of ongoing personal and Professional development
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience
