Clinical Nurse Educator

The post holder will provide a central role in the delivery of teaching to medical students during their Oncology Medicine placements.
o This will involve facilitating sessions to allow students to achieve learningoutcomes with the relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes to care for patients with life-limiting diseases and those dying.o Delivery of specialist practice in a patient centred and clinically effective way in line with Trust policies and procedures and national guidelines.o In partnership with the Oncology SIFT lead Consultant, responsible for the development of Medical student education in Oncology Medicine.
Hold current NMC registration: Registered Nurse - Hold a first-level degree (or working towards), and have demonstrable post-registration experience including holding or working towards a post-graduate certificate in education, and demonstrable evidence of experience of working in Cancer care.

- NMC Registered Nurse with demonstrable current post registration experience in a clinical setting
- Degree or equivalent diploma in relevant profession.
- Evidence of post graduate study in Education or working towards
- Qualification to support/mentor /assess staff
- Significant experience in educating, coaching, mentoring and developing others
- Significant and current experience working in this clinical setting
- Demonstable experience of managing & leading a team of colleagues
- Coaching & mentoring qualification
- Demonstrable svidence of service development/change/project management
- Demonstrable clinical, leadership and change management skills to update and develop the nursing/midwifery team and services ensuring these are modern and responsive to patient and corporate needs
- Evidence of understanding the role in the supporting information
