Role: HVAC Technician Location: Edinburgh Salary: £45,000 I am currently recruiting on behalf of a national facilities management company for a HVAC Technician to cover a major British multinational retailer across the Edinburgh area. On offer for the HVAC Technician A great basic salary Company van and fuel card 25 days plus 8 bank holidays Death in service 4x annual salary sick pay Health shield progression BUPA private healthcare pension schemes retail discounts Duties of the HVAC Technician Install, inspect, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVACR). Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and lubricating moving parts to ensure system efficiency and longevity. Diagnose and troubleshoot HVACR systems to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Test HVACR systems for proper operation using specialized tools and equipment. Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, belts, and fans. Follow safety protocols and regulations while handling refrigerants and operating equipment. Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed, for record-keeping purposes. Provide recommendations to customers regarding system upgrades, energy efficiency improvements, and preventive maintenance plans. Respond to emergency service calls and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime for clients. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
