As a Shipping Supervisor you will be primarily responsible to perform shipping tasks, support and coordinate the shipping team, and assist the Shipping Manager to provide a quality, cost effective and compliant shipping process.

Key duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Coordinate, supervise and help prioritise activities of the shipping team.
  • Address and resolve escalated queries / issues.
  • Liaise and coordinate with customers, Operations and affiliates regarding planned collection and delivery of outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Arrange bookings with airlines, create all export documentation & complete export declarations.
  • Complete clearance of inbound shipments in accordance with importer instructions.
  • Create shipment records using BITS and produce documentation for run allocation and delivery.

To be considered for the role, candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following essential skills:

  • Previous Shipping experience
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work on own initiative, a quick learner and resilient
  • Strong organisation, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Proactive, customer focused approach with a can-do attitude
  • Computer literate
