As we work to transform this exciting category, a new program, Shepherd, has been mobilized by the Mars Pet Nutrition (PN) leadership team. Shepherd is focused on the accelerated creation and implementation of a next generation ERP for Pet Nutrition.
As part of Shepherd, a new role has been created to lead the representation of business requirements for the Source to Pay during the ERP transformation: PN Sourcing (RM/Packaging) SME EU/ASIA is an individual who owns an end-to-end process across functional silos, geography, and business unit boundaries. It includes radical process simplification and cross-segment collaboration in standardization efforts to build agile and resilient supply chain in Mars.

PN Sourcing (RM/Packaging) SME EU/ASIA is accountable for working directly with the systems integrator in designing the global process template for their respective process area, including the future needs of the business, system capabilities, and external best practices. They are responsible for the development of the business case, ensure they give given the necessary support to GPL and GPO for the unit buy-in and sign-off on business architecture and process design.

5+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with a focus on raw materials or packaging.
~ Thorough understanding of interlinkages and interdependencies of source to pay with other business functions including Finance, Quality, Supply chain, Logistics, and others.
~ Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
~ Strong problem analysis, negotiating, and influencing skills.
~ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English
~ Customer focused with demonstrated ability to form productive relationships with business leaders, DT personnel, and project leaders.
~ Cooperating with other region/segment SMEs to assume global ownership for formulating strategy, designing processes, and overseeing the implementation across Source to Pay (S2P) within PN.
Analyzing internal and external leading practices and benchmarks, developing a transformation roadmap based on agreed KPI performance for the processes.
and recommending decisions where PN-specific customizations are permissible and overseeing market deployment.
Working closely with Royal Canin (RC) S2P SME to agree on key elements of design and process standardization and harmonization to ensure consistency in commercial processes across PN and RC, driving synergies at a Petcare level.
Work closely with the Master data workstream and the RC to co-define the master data strategy, data model, and data governance for data objects in S2P scope.
Work closely with the PMO team and provide input to the overall Program workstream status reporting, etc.
Collaborate with the ERP implementation team to ensure the new S2P system effectively supports sourcing of raw materials/ingredients and packaging for Pet Nutrition products in Europe and Asia .
Participate in design sessions to identify gaps between European and Asian S2P requirements for Pet Nutrition, the global template, and SAP S/4HANA functionalities.
Lead the definition and implementation of the global S2P process template for Pet Nutrition products in Europe and Asia, aligned with business needs and best practices.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize sourcing and procurement processes for Pet Nutrition ingredients and packaging within Europe and Asia.
