THE ROLE

Reporting to the VP ofCustomer Strategy, the Customer Value Director role is part of the Global CustomerValue function that drives proactive business development as well as existingsales opportunities at prospects and clients, based on a tested value sellingmethodology. The methodology, aligned with the value lifecycle for business-ledtechnology transformations, helps drive the value agenda at existing clientsand prospects. Over the last 5 years, the focused, highly skilled team has successfullyintroduced value selling to an effective, motivated sales and presalesorganization within a growing market-leading technology innovator, in one ofthe most dynamic and interesting industry sectors.

The role requires anastute, articulate individual who will engage with senior clients in focusedengagements to create and deliver strategic insights for clients, as well as withTemenos’ sales and pre-sales teams. It involves learning and increasing bankingbusiness knowledge quickly. This is a senior individual contributor role and ahigh degree of independence is a pre-requisite. 

The primaryresponsibility is to drive the value selling agenda at Temenos. Valueselling at Temenos is centered around our industry-leading proprietary TemenosValue Benchmark Program with over 150 participating banks and over 75000 datapoints. The Customer Value Director will drive the strategic Temenos Value Benchmark Programin their allocated region, working closely with Managing Director of the Regionand the VP of Customer Strategy on executing and delivering the program for theRegion, aligning on key sales priorities. This involves evangelizing thebenefits of the Temenos Value Benchmark Program with clients, partners andprospects and delivering executive presentations and bank-specific brochures tokey C-level stakeholders at the bank during deal execution.

In addition, the CustomerValue Director enables Temenos Sales and Pre-Sales to embrace Value Selling bytraining and enablement i.e. ensuring value messaging in all Temenos clientengagements in their allocated region.

The role is stronglyanalytical as well as client-facing with a strong element of consultativesales. Apart from the assigned Sales Region, the role requires collaborationwith multiple functions within Temenos – Pre-Sales, Marketing and Product.

OPPORTUNITES

  • You will work on large data sets, including handling and examining data for benchmarking, using these to diagnose/solve a bank’s challenges or provide insights to help improve efficiency and business performance.

  • You will take responsibility for deliverables ranging from periodic benchmarking activities to bespoke collaborative business cases with clients involving collecting data, interviewing client staff, planning and facilitating workshops and translating conclusions into recommendations.

  • You will play a leading role on initial data collection, analysis, data visualization and communication of the resulting actionable insights.

  • You will provide business intelligence and decision support via benchmarking and market research for banking technology, particularly for their allocated region.

  • You will help increasing knowledge of banking industry with a strong regional focus.

  • You will have high level of direct client exposure including the C-level.
SKILLS
  • You should have educational background:

    • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics / statistics / science / engineering)

    • Post-graduate degree in business or a related quantitative field

  • You should have consulting skills:

    • Proven track record (2-4 years) of management/strategy consulting from a top tier consulting firm with strong experience in banking, preferably banking technology

    • Demonstrate good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to establish interest, trust and credibility both, with clients and Temenos Sales and Pre-Sales teams

  • You should have technical skills:

    • Excellent analytical and critical thinking / reasoning skills

    • Proficiency in statistical/mathematical reasoning, Excel and financial modelling

    • Exceptional analytical ability including interpretation of large data sets and deciphering the findings into clear messages and visuals.

  • You should have soft skills:

    • Self-motivated, ambitious, independent, organised, focused, collaborative team player, passionate about sales

    • Excellent story boarding skills

    • Self-motivated, fast learner with the ability to operate independently
