Head of Cyber Security Programmes

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Head of Cyber Security Programmes at our client. In this pivotal role, you’ll steer our organization towards robust cybersecurity practices, ensuring our network is resilient and secure.

As the Head of Cyber Security Programmes, you will be a key member of our Cyber Security leadership team. Your primary focus will be managing and collaborating with key stakeholders across IT and Networks teams, ensuring that our cyber security initiatives align with the Telecommunications Security Act 2021 and other relevant regulations and frameworks. You will also lead the charge in maintaining the highest standards of security in our telecommunications network services.

Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and Networks leaders to seamlessly integrate security measures across all technical domains. Act as the primary bridge between Cyber Security and other internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
Regulatory Compliance: Implement appropriate controls to ensure compliance with the Telecommunications Security Act 2021 and other relevant regulations and frameworks. Programme Leadership: Lead and manage cyber security projects, setting clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies. Implement robust risk management protocols and policies.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Cyber Security team to integrate ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and Cyber Essentials Plus frameworks into our operations. Provide guidance and support in implementing necessary security controls.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all cyber security procedures and compliance measures.
This role requires someone with proven experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks (including ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance. Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and the ability to lead complex projects and teams are essential. While not required, knowledge of NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials Plus, and the Telecommunications Security Act would be a plus.
