The Structural Analysis Engineer will work on a range of activities from technical studies to small spacecraft systems and subsystems, supporting projects for various institutional, academic, and commercial customers. This role requires collaboration with customers, suppliers, leadership teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure high-performing solutions for space missions.
Ensure the structural integrity of spacecraft under your direct supervision.
Prepare Finite Element Models (FEMs) and perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Support mechanical test campaigns.
Familiarity with interpreting requirements in launch vehicle user manuals, particularly inertial loading, vibration theory, shock, and acoustics.
Familiarity with relevant engineering technical standards, especially ECSS and NASA.
Strong understanding of methods for spacecraft level mechanical analysis and testing.
Appreciation of novel structural materials, such as composites, and knowledge of appropriate analysis and testing methods.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Confident working in project delivery and bid teams.
Ability to work closely with and interpret the outputs of analysis engineers (FEA) to understand design capabilities.
