We are looking for a school caretaker/site manager to join a popular primary school in Harlow on a full-time basis. This role would be perfect for someone who either has prior experience as a school caretaker or is looking to utilise their ‘handyperson’ skills and background in a new position within a primary school. THE POSITION

  • School caretaker
  • Primary school in Harlow
  • Split shifts (8.00am – 11.30am and 3.15pm – 6.15pm)
  • Key holder responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining the safety, maintenance and upkeep of the school site
  • Long-term role with strong possibility of permanent
Examples of duties could include :
  • Regularly checking fire and safety systems
  • Undertaking routine maintenance work on school site
  • Arranging emergency repairs where necessary
  • Overseeing cleaning staff
  • Liaising with external contractors
  • Undertaking general porterage duties including moving furniture and equipment within the school
